Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival NJP / IXB – Transfer to Gangtok

Distance: 130 Km | Travel Time: 4 – 5 Hours
Altitude: 5412 Ft / 1650 Mts

Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be warmly received by our local representative. After a brief introduction, proceed on a scenic drive to Gangtok, the beautiful capital of Sikkim.

Enjoy the picturesque journey through winding mountain roads and lush green valleys.

On arrival in Gangtok, check in to your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 02: Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake and New Baba Mandir.

Tshangu Lake

Altitude: 12,400 Ft | Distance: 43 Km | Travel Time: 2 Hours

A beautiful glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Tshangu Lake (Changu Lake) is one of the most famous attractions in Sikkim.

New Baba Mandir

Altitude: 13,100 Ft | Distance: 18 Km from Tshangu Lake

Visit the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, dedicated to an Indian army soldier who is believed to guard the borders even today.

Later return back to Gangtok.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

For Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir permits, the following documents are required:

Photo copy of valid ID proof (Passport / Driving License / Voter ID)

Aadhaar Card and PAN Card are not accepted.

Children below 18 years must carry School ID / College ID.
In case of landslides or unfavorable weather conditions, if Tshangu Lake is not accessible, alternative sightseeing will be arranged.
Procedures for Foreign Nationals / OCI / PIO Card holders are different. Please inform us in advance for permit arrangements.

Nathula Pass – Indo-China Border
Altitude: 14,137 Ft

Visit the famous Nathula Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world connecting India and China.

Closed on Monday for tourists

Day 03: Gangtok – Transfer to Darjeeling

Distance: 110 Km | Travel Time: 4 – 5 Hours
Altitude: 6710 Ft / 2046 Mts

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering:

• Ganesh Tok
• Hanuman Tok
• Flower / Plant Conservatory
• Monastery

Later drive to Darjeeling, famously known as the “Queen of Hills.”

On arrival, check in to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 04: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning (around 4:00 AM, subject to weather conditions), proceed to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world.

Return to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, proceed for a half-day city tour of Darjeeling covering:

• Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
• Tenzing & Gombu Rock
• Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center
• Panoramic view of Tea Gardens

Return to the hotel.

Important Notes

The Zoo and Mountaineering Institute remain closed on Thursdays.
The Tibetan Refugee Centre remains closed on Sundays and government holidays.
Tiger Hill visit depends on availability of entry coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed each morning. If coupons are unavailable, the visit will be arranged after breakfast.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train Ride)
Enjoy the famous UNESCO World Heritage Toy Train experience through the beautiful hills of Darjeeling. (Available at additional cost)

Day 05: Darjeeling – NJP / IXB Departure

Distance: 100 Km | Travel Time: 3 – 4 Hours

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward journey.

Tour ends with beautiful memories of Sikkim and Darjeeling.

Pashupati Nagar & Mirik Lake

Guests can visit Pashupati Nagar (Indo-Nepal Border Market) for shopping and Mirik Lake, a beautiful hill lake surrounded by pine forests.
