Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Cochin to Munnar, one of South India’s most popular hill stations known for its rolling tea gardens, cool climate, and breathtaking viewpoints. Enjoy visiting famous attractions such as Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Eravikulam National Park, and beautiful waterfalls along the route.

The tour concludes with a memorable houseboat stay in Alleppey, where you will cruise through the serene backwaters surrounded by coconut groves, paddy fields, and traditional village life while enjoying authentic Kerala cuisine.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Local Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Leh Airport, meet our representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel.

After check-in, the day will be reserved for rest and acclimatization due to the high altitude of Leh (approx. 3500–4000 meters above sea level).

In the late afternoon (around 4:00 PM), proceed for local sightseeing including:

  • Shanti Stupa – A beautiful white-domed Buddhist stupa located on a hilltop in Chanspa offering panoramic views of Leh town.
  • Leh Palace – A historic royal palace overlooking Leh, built in the 17th century.
  • Leh Local Market – A vibrant marketplace where you can explore Himalayan Pashmina shawls, apricot products, Tibetan handicrafts, Ladakhi jewelry, rugs, and Kashmiri carpets.

Return to the hotel for Dinner and Overnight Stay in Leh.

Important Note: Since you will be reaching a high altitude within a short period of time, it is highly recommended to take adequate rest on the first day to allow your body to acclimatize.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour around Leh.

Places to visit include:

  • Sangam (Indus & Zanskar River Confluence) – Witness the spectacular meeting point of two majestic rivers.
  • Magnetic Hill – A fascinating gravity-defying optical illusion where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own.
  • Gurudwara Pathar Sahib – A revered Sikh shrine built in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Hall of Fame Museum – A museum maintained by the Indian Army showcasing Ladakh’s history, culture, and military heritage.
  • Spituk Monastery – One of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, known for its beautiful hilltop location and religious significance.

Later return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 3 : Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (Approx. 135 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your journey to the stunning Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass.

  • Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft) – One of the highest motorable roads in the world and a thrilling experience for travelers.

Continue the scenic drive towards Hunder in Nubra Valley.

Upon arrival, check in to your camp or cottage and relax.

Later visit:

  • Hunder Sand Dunes – A unique cold desert landscape where you can enjoy a camel ride on double-humped Bactrian camels (optional and on direct payment).

Nubra Valley, often referred to as the Orchard of Ladakh, offers stunning landscapes with beautiful flowers, sand dunes, and mountain views.

Return to camp for Dinner and Overnight Stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra – Turtuk – Nubra Excursion

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Turtuk Village, located near the Indo-Pakistan border.

Turtuk is a culturally rich village inhabited by the Balti tribe, known for their unique traditions, architecture, and delicious local cuisine.

Highlights of Turtuk include:

  • Scenic views of the Shyok River
  • Traditional Balti culture and lifestyle
  • Famous Turtuk Apricots
  • Views of the Pakistan border area
  • Traditional Sword Dance performances during special occasions

The village was under Pakistani control until 1971, when it was recaptured by India.

After exploring the village, return to Nubra Valley.

Day 5: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shyok

After breakfast, visit the famous:

  • Diskit Monastery – The oldest and largest monastery in Nubra Valley, known for its massive Maitreya Buddha statue.

Later drive towards the breathtaking Pangong Lake via the Shyok route.

Pangong Lake is one of the most famous attractions in Ladakh, known for its crystal-clear blue waters and stunning mountain backdrop. The lake gained global popularity after being featured in several films.

Key highlights:

  • A high-altitude lake stretching from India to Tibet
  • Changing shades of blue throughout the day
  • A paradise for photographers and nature lovers

Upon arrival, check in at your camp near Pangong Lake.

Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset views before retiring for the night.

Day 6: Pangong Lake – Leh via Chang La Pass

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the world.

En route visit:

  • Hemis Monastery – The largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh.
  • Thiksey Monastery – A magnificent monastery resembling the Potala Palace of Lhasa.
  • Shey Palace – The former summer palace of the Ladakhi kings, famous for its giant Buddha statue.

Upon arrival in Leh, spend the evening at leisure.

Day 07: Departure from Leh
